Our approach to privacy
Human Lessons is designed to be a quiet, offline-first reading experience. We collect only what is needed to operate the app, improve it responsibly, and process Premium purchases where you choose to make one.
Information we handle
On your device. Your reading progress, bookmarks, content preferences, chosen language, and notification settings are stored locally on your device so the app can work offline and remember your experience.
Premium purchases. If you use Premium, the applicable app store and RevenueCat may process transaction, subscription status, and device-related identifiers needed to confirm access and restore purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card number.
Support messages. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
How we use information
We use information to provide the app, retain your on-device reading experience, verify Premium entitlement, respond to support requests, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use your reading choices for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on Apple and Google to process in-app purchases, and RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and paywalls. Each provider handles information under its own privacy terms. We may add carefully selected providers for app reliability or analytics as the service develops; this policy will be updated before any material change to our data practices.
Retention & your choices
Local reading data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app. Store purchase records and subscription data are retained by the relevant store and RevenueCat in line with their policies. You can manage your subscription through your app-store account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about the personal data we hold. We will respond as required by applicable law.
